Online Research Exploration
The first search I did using the Nebraska Access website was for the Unicorn Tapestries. I used the library to find books dealing with this subject as I am considering it for an informative speech. The results yielded several books dealing with this topic and gave specific information about the publishing date, author, etc. But this method doesn't seem especially helpful since one must find the actual books and information elsewhere and the chances of a library having very many of these books is not great.
My next search was done through the website database. I looked up just the word "welfare" and was directed to several links to websites dealing with the welfare system. This search was very helpful because the information is readily available on the internet.
The third search I did was for running. I looked in the magazine section since I would assume there are more magazines dealing with running than books. Contrary to what I expected, this didn't prove to be especially helpful. Perhaps my keywords were too broad because certainly my results were too broad. When I narrowed my search to "fitness running" my results were much better. I found 162 magazines that contain articles on fitness running. The magazine articles are actually available online so this resource is also very efficient.

if you're thinking of doing welfare for a speech topic, their might was an interesting article about brazil's welfare system...(http://www.economist.com/displayStory.cfm?story_id=4408187)
I'm glad to see someone else interested in running. I can't say I'm so much of a runner anymore, I'm more like a jogger. Kids and age kinda affected my atthletic ability and time to improve it.
